Oh my word, it is HOT out there! I’ve mentioned before that we school through the summer and one of the reasons is it’s just too darn hot to be outside in July and August. We’re almost through the killer months here in my part of the Midwest and we’re desperate for some hot-weather relief.
Nothing says cool-down like frozen treats and I’m happy to share these frozen treats with one of my readers! A special thanks to Yoplait for providing a bit of comfort this steamy August with some free Yoplait yogurt, a cool canvas cooler and these nifty Tovolo ice cream pops.
My kids love frozen treats in the summer and these are some of the easiest to make. We always have yogurt around and usually some fresh fruit to mix in with it. I rarely buy popsicles and ice cream pops due to all the sugar and fat. My kids will eat them everyday until the box is empty if they’re in the house! These Yoplait pops are quick to throw together, require simple ingredients we have on hand and are a better choice for us. We only get to enjoy them when we make them which means less temptation laying around!
Our family loves Yoplait yogurt. The kids will often choose Yoplait flavors over the ‘kid varieties’ I buy them. It never fails – they eat all of our Yoplait yogurt before they will touch the other brands. My husband and I always choose our own favorite Yoplait flavors and we get about half of what we buy! I can’t say I blame them.
