Settling in with an Herbal Giveaway

*****contest closed*****

Hey folks!  So glad to see you at the new site.  I’m looking forward to sharing lots of great stories, recipes, information, products and giveaways with you here at Knittingprose.com.

There’s no better way to kick off the move than with a giveaway, right?  Smile I’m so excited about this particular product because it’s all about one of my absolute favorite subjects – herbs!  The folks at the Bulk Herb Store have been very kind to let me giveaway a copy of Making Herbs Simple Vol. 1 to FIVE of my readers!  Yeah, you heard me – FIVE.

coverA few days ago I received my own copy of Making Herbs Simple Vol. 1.  It truly is a good place for beginner’s to start.  I’m the kind of person that wants a full picture and step-by-step instructions when I’m learning something new.  This dvd does just that with amazingly beautiful graphics.  It’s full of color-rich close-up shots that are very helpful in identifying herbs.  Shoshanna, the host, demonstrates how to dry herbs and make several different tinctures and poultices.  Her mother, Debi, is an absolute delight to watch!  Being from Kentucky I totally ‘get’ her light-hearted and funny spirit.  She puts her own Tennessee spin on the instructional segments and makes each one not only informative but entertaining.

If you’re completely new to herbs, this dvd should be at the top of your list of resources to acquire.  If you’re at all familiar with making your own home remedies then you probably already know most of this stuff.  BUT – there’s always a but, right?  But this dvd would be a great resource to have in any herbal library.  While I knew most of the information presented, it was a great refresher and reminder of some of the herbs I’d forgotten all about.  I’ll definitely watch it again and I look forward to getting Vol. 2 very soon.  Check out the trailor below.

Fear of the unknow!! I had no idea herbs could be used in so many ways. Allergies, ADHD and Acne just to name a few things I would lke to try. I don’t have a favorite product as I had no idea herbs were used for more than cooking.

I first became intrigued with herbal tinctures after you showed me your home pharmacy! Impressive! Am hoping to learn much from you of “all things natural”! Just watched the video on liver tincture and got so involved that I almost forgot to come back here to register for the giveaway! As a total newbie to herbs and a lover of learning, I’d most like the book so I can get started!

I am very new to herbs and the uses of them, so a video and books to help me learn what to do for my family would be wonderful. I’m also new to homesteading but am looking forward to the wealth of information that is available. God’s richest blessings, Carla

I really like The Capsule Machine. You can make your own herb capsules, pretty neat. However I also would like more of those dvd’s.
