November in Review…

It’s been a busy fall season for us.  We had a great time at the lake during our November crafting retreat.  It was wonderful to reconnect with old friends, get to visit with family, and have some time to just hang out with my dear friends.  We laughed and crafted til we couldn’t stand it anymore.

The November Crafting Retreat

make a wish

I got to give away a ton of prizes and it was really fun to see people get great things.  Lots of Webster’s Pages goodies and these awesome organizers from Harbor Freight.

And my ladies are just too sweet.  I receive a few gifts that weekend.  Thank you again, ladies.  You really shouldn’t have done that!

See our cottages there?  They are absolutely amazing.  And the owner, Lori, is just about the nicest person you could ever meet.  She and her husband go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Christmas in November?

Let’s see what else happened in November?  We had a few days of family time right after the retreat and then a Christmasy crafty thing happened… before Thanksgiving.  I know.  Sad smile I’m sorry!  But I was on Pinterest and…  do I really need to continue?  You know how it is.  Anyway, I put a tree up.  On my front porch.  Before Thanksgiving.  *sigh*  I have no excuse.

BUT IT WAS PINTEREST’S FAULT!

Don’t even try to tell me you don’t want to put a tree on your front porch now.        Liar!

Then I made this album.  Actually, I made the pages before the retreat.  I decorated it during the retreat.  Then I created the album cover after I got home.  It was a Christmas gift which has already been given so no worries about spoiling any surprises or anything.  You may have even seen it on the Facebook page.

I really liked this little mini.  I have two more in the works.

November crochet projects

Then it snowed and I put down the paper and picked up the yarn.  I had been missing my fiber arts and I was inspired by my friends Joanna and Brady to pick it up again.  Really, what says fiber arts more than snow???  It had to be done, so I made booties.

boots

Who can resist these???  A great pattern from mamachee.  I’ve made a few pair of these now.

And then I started making these…

UK booties

Because this baby needed some matching boots, y’all!

The hat pattern is from Repeat Crafter Me.  I love love love it.  I’ve made several already with plans for more.

Oh how I’ve missed yarn.

Then more awesomeness from November – I won a huge prize pack from Kathy Orta at PaperPhenomenon.  It was incredible.  Tons of Christmas goodies.

I’m making a Countdown to Christmas album with some of the paper I received.

Then I made some lotion bars.  It’s that time of year and my elbows are feeling it.  I love having salve or lotion bars around to keep my skin healthy through the winter.

And some herbs infusing that I totally burned up.  =(  I hate that.

Eventually, we got around to putting up a tree in the living room.  It’s a little bare.  My plan is to pick up some fillers and lights as the season winds down.

And then I went back to my paper for a few days.  Finished a Christmas present and worked on a couple others…

That pretty much sums up the craftiness of November.  In non-craft related news, I got to spend Thanksgiving with some of my family.  Yay!!! It was so good to see them and get to spend some rare quality time together.

December is getting busy.  But I’ll tell you more about that later.
