our backyard giveaway!

Look at what’s living in our backyard… Here’s mamma. She was with us last year and lives under our shed. (you can see one of their holes under the doorway in the above picture and second below) Imagine our surprise and delight to see this little guy tagging along! They are so adorable to watch, nibbling away at the vegetation in the backyard. Now if I can just keep them out of my tomato plants! Anyone know what they are??? A few of my favorite things…

While many homeschoolers around us are wrapping up their school year, we’re still going strong. We school the year around mostly because it just works for us. We’re pretty much in the middle of everything right ... continue reading...

The Homeschool Project

surprise, surprise…

Yesterday was filled with surprises here. It was a busy day and I knew when I rolled out of bed that we needed to get as much done as possible. It was then, that God once again showed me that my ways are not His. : ) All my stressing is for naught and I really need to just learn that and get over it. The kids did manage to get most of the work done that I had planned for them – all the basics at least. Our day was pleasantly interrupted by a phone call from Papa wanting to take the boys ... continue reading...
