A Nature Scavenger Hunt…

A Nature Scavenger Hunt…

It’s fall again, y’all. It’s kinda funny that when everything starts dying, the O’shea household starts to come alive.  We hibernate through the hot summer months and come out just in time for the first frost.  What can I say?  We’re Canadians at heart.    This weekend my husband cooked up a last minute activity that had everyone outside, running around, and working together – on a nature scavenger hunt.  With two homemade lists of wild and wonderful creatures ... continue reading...

the end of summer… hooray!

the end of summer… hooray!

It’s that time again, isn’t it?  Time to start waking up at a reasonable hour.  Time to start going to bed at a reasonable hour.  Time to start keeping track of schedules and hours and lesson plans.  *sigh*  For being the homeschool mom who said she wouldn’t take a summer vacation, I sure enjoyed summer vacation.  But you know what?             I’m SO glad school is starting again!!  Don’t get me ... continue reading...

A veggie anniversary…

You know, one of the joys of being a housewife is the unpredictability that comes with day-to-day life.  Today was certainly one of those very unplanned, very out of the ordinary days.  Today is my 14th wedding anniversary!  That’s right.  Fourteen years ago I said, “I do,” got into a little powder blue LeBaron and rode to my brand new apartment (which I’d never laid eyes on) with my sweet hubby.   We stopped half-way through the three hour trip and had dinner at ... continue reading...
