One Crafty Gal…

One Crafty Gal…

***warning: this is a photo-heavy post.  It make take a while to load.  Also, the picture quality leaves much to be desired.  This was one of those “oh no, this is a gift and I have to give it away now, but I forgot to take really great photos of it” kind of deals.  Be kind.*** My daughter, Abs, who just turned 13 last month is an amazing girl.  She's so smart and quick and creative.  Today I'm going to share with you a project she made all by herself that I ... continue reading...

Healthier Egg Salad Recipe…

Healthier Egg Salad Recipe…

I’m always looking for new lunch ideas.  We get stuck in the  pb&j, canned soup rut here frequently.   Pinterest is my go-to recipe trove these days, though I’ve been a huge fan of  AllRecipes.com for many years.  And my “can’t leave well enough alone” attitude will not let me follow a recipe as its written.  I just can’t do it! I found this recipe to try out and as usual, I made some adjustments.  Here’s what I came up with. Healthier Egg Salad A super easy, quick recipe is exactly ... continue reading...

Greek Chicken

I can never leave well enough alone.  It's a curse, really.  But sometimes it works out. Like Saturday for instance, I pinned a recipe for Greek chicken with every intention of following it.  But you know... I can't leave well enough alone.  So I decided I'd just make my own Greek chicken. It was delicious. Greek Chicken w/ Red potatoes and Snow Peas chicken - I made 2 breasts and 12 thighs (we're a family of 7) 1 bottle of Ken's Greek dressing about 2 - 3 lbs of red potatoes 1 lb. of ... continue reading...

Good Morning Girls – Week 3, Day 2…

Day 2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."                                                                                                                                                                                                   --Romans 12:2 My initial observations from this verse and the one that precedes it are that we are to seek holiness ... continue reading...

Stirring some pots…

Stirring some pots…

It's been a while since I've stirred any pots.  I figure now is as good a time as any.  This will be short and sweet. 1.   The Bill Nye and Ken Ham  debate - this is a dumb idea.  Two guys who have a tendency to be kinda jerkish when you don't agree with them.  Yeah, this will be a great opportunity to be Christ-like.  (eye roll) 2.  Coca Cola & America the Beautiful - being a Christian and saying hateful things about this commercial makes you a jerk.  A song about God blessing this ... continue reading...
